Bridgeport Woman Steals More than $5,000 from Westport Business

Westport police reports: Jan. 23 - 25.

Ashley Butler, 24, of Bridgeport, was charged Jan. 24 with third-degree larceny. Officers responded to the Bridgeport Police Department to pick up Butler who had an active warrant regarding an incident that was reported in November 2011.  Butler had been an employee of the on Main Street in Westport and between September and October she was allegedly making fraudulent returns in excess of $5,304.99 and crediting her debit card. It came to the attention of the loss prevention manager through his reporting system that an excessive amount of returns were being made out of the Westport store. Butler was unable to post a $15,000 bond and was transported to Norwalk Superior Court for arraignment.

Anthony Rodriguez, 24, of Bridgeport, was charged Jan. 24 with second-degree failure to appear after he turned himself in on an active warrant. The original charges were not specified in the report. He was unable to post a $10,000 bond and was transported to Norwalk Superior Court for arraignment.

Sandra Kinseley, 64, of Westport, Christiane Kinseley, 34, of Westport and Darrid Sharkey, 36, of Westport, were all charged with disorderly conduct following a domestic dispute between a mother, daughter and the daughter’s boyfriend. All parties were a issued misdemeanor summons with a court appearance for Jan. 25.
