At approximately 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, a man entered the Subway at 903 Post Road E. and confronted the store clerks with a hammer in his hand.  The suspect reportedly held the hammer in a threatening manner over his head and demanded cash from the register.

The suspect left the store with an undetermined amount of cash and went on foot in an unknown direction, according to a police press release. There were no injuries inside the store.  Police searched the area with the police canine and patrol units, but could not find him.

The suspect is described as a white male, light skin tone, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build and 40-50 years old. He had long, blonde hair and a blonde mustache.  The suspect was wearing an open plaid red jacket with a light colored hood, a white T-shirt underneath and blue jeans.
