The new Shake Shack restaurant, 1849 Post Road East, on the Fairfield Town line, will open to the public on Wednesday, July 20, company officials have confirmed.
The “modern day burger stand,” which features outdoor seating, will serve burgers, hot dogs, fries, milkshakes, custard, beer, wine and more.
Part of Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group in New York, the chain has locations in New York City, Washington D.C., Saratoga Springs, N.Y. and the Middle East.

The restaurant’s Union Square location is so popular that its website sports a “Shack Cam” — video surveillance that lets customers see how long the line is before they visit the Union Square location.
