Staples Boys Hockey Edges Greenwich, 3-2
Aaron Liu scores twice for Wreckers, who have a 50-10 edge in shots
Aaron Liu scored a pair of goals Monday, lifting the Staples Coop boys hockey team to a 3-2 victory over Greenwich at the Dorothy Hammill Rink.
Kyle Wehmhoff also tallied for the Wreckers, who opened a 3-0 lead in the first period before holding off the Cardinals. Greenwich scored single goals in the second and third periods.
Luke Andriuk had a spectacular game in goal for Staples, making 47 saves as the Wreckers finished with a 50-10 edge in shots.

Fighting for an FCIAC playoff spot, Staples improved to 5-4 in the conference and 11-5 overall with four games remaining in the regular season.The Wreckers currently hold the No. 5 spot in the playoff race.
Gibby McHugh and Eric Macken scored for Greenwich, which slipped to 4-4-1 and 5-8-1.
