Well-known Westport lawyer Joe Tacopina is reportedly representing the parents of Lisa Irwin, the missing Missouri baby.

According to published reports, Tacopina, who lives on Red Coat Road, held a news conference on Monday to announce he would be representing the family — the same day that Deborah Bradley, the baby’s mother, told national media that she drank heavily the night her daughter disappeared and may have blacked out.

Tacopina, a well-known defense attorney who also represented the mother of slain Yale graduate student Annie Le, reportedly studied law at what is now Quinnipiac Law. He also defended Joran Van der Sloot, the main suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba.
