Westport’s Arcudi's Restaurant Closing

Former Westport First Selectman Joe Arcudi is reportedly shuttering at 1035 Post Road East, less than three years after its opening.

According to an article in the CT Post, Arcudi ran the original Arcudi's Restaurant in the same location from 1973 to 1994, then took it over again in April 2009.

Arcudi, who is on the in the November municipal election, also ran an Arcudi's Restaurant on Norwalk's First Street from 1998 to 2008.

The restaurant will remain open for another week, Arcudi told the CT Post. He said he hopes to open “a smaller eatery with lower expenses somewhere else,” the report said.
