Special Martin Luther King Day Kids Program Planned at Historical Society

The (WHS) invites children from kindergarten through fifth grade to share an abundance of fun-filled activities on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Jan. 17. 

During the popular annual program, kids will have the opportunity to explore the theme "Take a Stand" through a variety of unique crafts, including making signs and "dream" pillows on which each youngster will be able to express his or her own passion and beliefs. Children will also be able to participate in Readers' Theater and improvisational drama games before making his own delicious snacks.

This program takes place 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Westport Historical Society, 25 Avery Place in Westport.  Snack and supplies are provided and participants should bring their own bag lunch.  The fee for WHS members is $45 and for nonmembers, $50.
