EWGA Women's Golf Mentoring Program in Fairfield

Golf Mentoring Program Offers Women Golfers an Opportunity to Learn Skills, Rules, and Etiquette
The Fairfield County Chapter of EWGA (Executive Women's Golf Association) is offering a Mentoring Program for women who want to learn the rules, golf etiquette, and different styles of play. The Mentoring Program will be held at the Charles Dickman Par 3 golf course in Fairfield, a perfect course for beginners. Through this Mentor Program, the new golfer will gain confidence from the advice and guidance given by the experienced volunteer mentors. Groups will consist of women of similar skills and one Mentor to provide a consistent and structured setting for steady golf accomplishment. As part of the sessions, we will be focusing on the etiquette of golf. Learning the etiquette is just as important as learning the skills and rules. Common courtesies like who tees off first, where to place your bag when putting, and when to be quiet are an integral part of play. Understanding golf etiquette will enhance the enjoyment of your whole party and your confidence on the course. The Mentoring Program will start on May 14th and we will play on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the every month through August. Tee off time is 5:10 PM and we request that you are ready to play by 5:00 PM. The cost per round of golf is $8.00 for Fairfield residents and $14.00 for non-residents. Pull carts are available for $5.00 fee. Equipment can be rented for an additional fee. A reservation is required, so please contact cathyporter@nutmegforest.com or cmazza0217@aol.com for more information and to register to play. About EWGA: Since its founding in 1991 as the Executive Women’s Golf Association, the EWGA has enriched the lives of over 100,000 women, connecting them to learn, play and enjoy golf for business and for fun.
