On Saturday, September 21, The Watermark at 3030 Park will host the Southwestern Connecticut Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America for a free lecture on coping with hearing loss, featuring guest speaker Jeanne Fredriksen.
A pre-event social will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the formal presentation beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the retirement community, located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport/Fairfield town line.
Fredriksen is a Senior Consumer Outreach Manager at MED-EL Corporation, a company that specializes in implantable hearing solutions. She travels around the Northeast helping to educate people about new technology and rehabilitation services that are available for people with hearing loss.
“We look forward to Jeanne’s presentation and hope it will provide our members and friends of the South West Connecticut Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America with helpful guidance when it comes to living a fulfilling life with hearing loss,” said Marlane Argianas, Resident Services Coordinator at The Watermark at 3030 Park.
The Watermark recently installed a new, state-of-the-art induction loop system that will help audience members with “T-coil” hearing aids hear the presentation more clearly.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact HLAA President Dick Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org, or 203-248-7269 or visit www.hearez.org.
