The Westport Weston Family Y Boys 7th Grade Travel Basketball Team began their 2013-14 season four weeks ago with a win and have continued their winning ways into the start of the new year.

Playing in the competitive Fairfield County Basketball League, the Y’s 7th Graders started with a 43-32 victory over the Stamford JCC and followed that up with a 44-12 non-league win against Redding-Easton.

After the holiday break, the 7th Graders were back in action against Greenwich Boys & Girls Club, winning 53-43. The squad then beat Chelsea Piers, 36-32. At this point in the season the Westport YMCA team sat alone as the only undefeated team in the FCBL C South division.
