Flu Activity Up in Westport, Marpe Pushes Vaccinations

Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe is reminding citizens to take steps to protect themselves against the flu this season and urging citizens who have not already done so to get a flu vaccine.

According to the State Department of Health, the influenza activity is continuing to increase in Connecticut and has been classified as “geographically widespread”.

The Westport Weston Health District has seen a significant increase in the local incidence of influenza activity, according to Marpe.
