The Port Chester village Board of Trustees on Monday night voted to honor Veltri with the declaration of a day in her honor. Port Chester Mayor Dennis Pilla congratulated Veltri for her winning ways.

Veltri won in a competition at Irvington Town Hall Theater. To take the title, Veltri sang "Maybe This Time" from Cabaret and "Astonishing" from Little Women.
