The Westport Center for Senior Activities, located at 21 Imperial Avenue, has been opened to the community as a “warming center” in view of the extreme cold temperatures.
The Center will be open until 4:30 p.m., according to First Selectman Jim Marpe.
The Westport-Weston Family Y, at 59 Post Road East in Westport, is also available to local residents seeking relief from the extreme cold, according to Marpe.
Those wishing to use the Family Y are asked to check in at the Member Services Desk near the Y entrance on Church Lane. For more information, residents can call 203-226-8981 or visit www.westporty.org.
