Irish Step Dancing Performance by Lenihan School of Irish Dance at Pequot Library
This Saturday, March 17, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in celebration of St. Patricks’ Day, Pequot Library will present the Lenihan School of Irish Dance Troup in a wonderful performance of Irish Step Dancing. It will be a costumed, spirited performance and afterwards, the audience and children are invited to participate and learn basic steps and kicks. It will be a fun for all ages.
The Lenihan School is one of the leading schools of Irish dance in New England and offers classes at locations throughout Fairfield County. Irish Step Dancing is a form of folk dance with its roots in Irish traditional music. Its popularity has surged in recent years and there are now Step Dancing competitions around the world.
