LIVE at the Edmond Town Hall presents The Low Anthem

  • Based in Providence, RI, The Low Anthem combine folk with blues, hymnals, barn-stompers and whispered meditations. The band's debut release for Nonesuch Records, Oh My God, Charlie Darwin, was named Magnet's #1 Album of 2009, UNCUT's Americana Album of the Year and Boston Music Awards' Album of the Year. Their newest album, Smart Flesh, was released in February 2011.

Rolling Stone writes: "it's as if 'The Band' stripped their prairie-gothic majesty down to Tom Waits' barfly essentials."

A portion of the proceeds from this show will go towards the renovation of the Edmond Town Hall. Built during the Great Depression, this New England landmark has the distinction of being the only $2 movie theater in Connecticut. Help restore this historic building to its former glory.
