Calling All Secret Poets: Poetry Open-Mic Night with Annette Basalyga
Award-winning poet, Annette Basalyga, will inaugurate Write Yourself Free's first poetry Open-Mic Night on Friday, March 2nd at 7:30pm. “She's a weird original,” Jordan Davis, poetry editor of The Nation writes of Basalyga's current collection, Lifer. About Annette Basalyga
Annette Basalyga was a fellow at the University of Iowa's Writers' Workshop where she received an Academy of American Poets’ Prize and an M.F.A. in poetry and is a current Pushcart Prize nominee. She has an extensive teaching background an is currently teaching poetry at Write Yourself Free. She lives in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
