"SHORT CUTS," a two-part film series featuring 2010 Oscar-nominated live action and animated shorts, will take place on Thursdays Oct. 14 and Nov. 11 at the Garden Cinemas in Norwalk. The programs begin at 6:30 p.m. with wine and pizza, hosted by Fountainhead Wines and Fat Cat Pie Co., followed by the films at 7. A discussion led by Connecticut Post film critic Joe Meyers concludes the program at 8:30 p.m. The series is presented by JIB Productions, producers of Play with Your Food, a mid-day theater program of lunch, one-act play readings and discussion. Tickets for Short Cuts, $25, go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 21.
