Crimes and Misdemeanors

We're all guilty, but of what? Need to confess? C'mon down!

Crimes? Oh, please, not murder, not anything indictable. What have you done in the past that offends you now?  That's crime enough. 

Or perhaps there's that brush with evil: got any criminal friends you want to rat out?

Misdemeanors? What about all those things you've rationalized? You know there's malfeasance in there somewhere... What are the nasty bits? You knew it was wrong and you did it anyway...  the pleasure in cruelty, the whining, the rages, the drugs, the shoplifting, the various infidelities and cheats, and of course, the sex.

You've been very naughty, and yet, you've lived to tell about it.
