The Nichols Garden Club Secret Garden Tour

The Nichols Garden Club is busy preparing for its annual Secret Midsummer Garden Tour which takes place on Thursday, July 12 from 4:00p.m. until dusk, rain date, Friday, July 13. The tour begins at The Starkweather House, 1773 Huntington Tpke., Trumbull, Connecticut 06611. It is bigger and even better this year with at least seven gardens which have never been visited before.  There will be refreshments at each garden!  Tickets are $20.00 in advance or $25.00 on the day of the tour.  The Garden Tour funds the Nichols Garden Club scholarship fund.  The Scholarship is names after the founder of the club, Jean Demchak Horsey and will be awarded to a Trumbull High School graduating Senior who will be going on to a degree in but not limited to, the natural sciences, landscaping, forestry, design, botany, environmental protection, wildlife biology or agriculture.  The Nichols Garden Club is proud that, especially for a small club of about 40 members, it has increased the scholarship to $2500.  Please support this wonderful garden tour.   For tickets or information , please contact Irene Harrigan, 203 258-0520 or Irene.harrigan@yahoo.com
