Trout Fishing in America

“The Lennon and McCartney of kids’ music” – N.P.R.

“A sublimely musical band” – Boston Herald

4-time Grammy Nominees Trout Fishing in America – the long-standing musical partnership of Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet – is music for people who take their fun seriously.  They’ve been playing music together since the 1970s, when they met up in Texas in a folk rock band. In 1979, Trout Fishing was born, and now, 15 albums and four Grammy nominations later, Keith and Ezra still get up every day looking forward to playing music together.  Their name, taken from a Richard Brautigan novel, seems almost as incongruous as a picture of this musical duo: Ezra (guitar) stands six feet nine inches and Keith (bass), five feet five and one half inches. After three decades of writing, recording and performing together, Trout Fishing in America can look back at a body of work that is impressive and know they are just hitting their stride.
