Business Picks Up At Westport's Embody Fitness Gourmet

Business is booming at Embody Fitness Gourmet as the weather gets warmer and Westport residents begin to exercise outdoors more every day.

Embody, which opened in late 2012, features protein shakes, salads and wraps. The fitness food bar also offers pure juicing, which is essentially pure vegetable or fruit juice.

"Business was a little slow over the winter, but it has really picked up," said Embody employee Manuel Retana. "The first week it hit 60 degrees it was packed in here."

Located in Bridge Square at 545 Riverside Avenue, Embody is in close proximity to the Saugatuck River and Compo Beach -- exercise hot spots for Westport residents.
