Taste of Westport for CLASP Homes

Join us on May 3rd for CLASP Homes’ 8th Annual Taste of Westport at - an evening of fine food and drink to help CLASP celebrate our 30th birthday.

Taste of Westport began at The Westport Inn and now returns to this just renovated venue.  A $75 per person ($80 at the door) ticket invites you to sample from some of the Westport area’s finest dining spots and offers you an opportunity to bid on many, many silent and live auction items

Begin with oysters or clams from Norm Bloom & Son, mosey on over to some of the area’s best restaurants, including Bobby Q’s, Blue Lemon, DaPietro’s, Matsu Sushi, Coromandel, River House Tavern, Tarantino’s, 55 Restaurant and Wine Bar and Rowayton Seafood.

Ask Michele Stuart, the talented owner/chef of Michele’s Pies for a small piece of her delicious desserts and take time out to have her autograph her book!

Relax, enjoy live jazz played by the Carruthers Brothers, “a trio that performs with energy and intensity, but lowers the decibel level to make conversation possible.”

Sip fine wines from Greens Farms Spirits Shop and Black Bear Wines.  Sample fun cocktails from Tito’s Vodka and EspolónTM Tequila.  Enjoy wine and spirits from Hartley & Parker and CT Distributors.

CLASP is thrilled once again to have TD Bank as a Major Sponsor, Kesten-Brown Insurance as a Sponsor and Wiggin & Dana and Leonard Leader as Supporting Sponsors.  And Miggs B Design, Westport Magazine and Cox Radio are media sponsors.

The recently renovated Westport Inn is the event’s generous Title Sponsor.

Our emcee will be Chaz of the Chaz and AJ Show on New Haven’s WPLR 99.1 FM.  Chaz will lend his lively persona to the event and add sound to our silent auction.

CLASP is a 30 year old Westport-based organization that provides group housing for 80 men and women with autism and related developmental disabilities.  Autism affects more than one in 100 children today and continues to foster a growing need for services for people with developmental disabilities.

Support the people CLASP serves while enjoying a fun filled evening sampling superb food, great drinks - and dessert and a cappuccino, all the while helping celebrate the 30th anniversary of an essential Westport organization!
