Faces Beautiful Moves One-Stop Beauty Shop West of the River

Owner Gail Sagel was eager to move her business to 208 Post Road West because of the lack of parking at her old Post Road East location in downtown Westport.

Faces Beautiful, a Westport Salon that has been in business since 2000, recently formed an association with Salon DeMatteo as well as with Plastic Surgery of Southern Connecticut, creating a true one-stop beauty shop.

Dr. Joseph B. O’Connell, who served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Bridgeport Hospital, runs the cosmetic surgery office on the second story of 208 Post Road West. The beauty and hair salons sit on the first floor.

“I think its genius of Dr. O’Connell to put all of these beauty services under one roof,” said owner and CEO of Faces Beautiful, Gale Sagel. “He knows that with women, being pretty starts with your hair and your face.”

Plastic Surgery of Southern Connecticut offers comprehensive skin-care and laser services including laser hair removal, botox, microdermabrasion, injectable fillers, and photodynamic therapy for acne, according to their website.

Sagel said that her old location did not have synergy, something her new location has loads of because there are three businesses focused on beauty under one roof.

“When a woman comes in to any one of these three businesses, there’s always the opportunity that she might do something else,” Sagel said.

The full-service, salon offers hair cutting, styling and coloring services for men, women and children.

Makeup application, keratin treatments, skincare, eyebrow shaping, deep cleansing facials, cranial massages and facial treatments are also offered. Additionally, the salon sells makeup, perfume, jewelry, bags, and hair and skin care products.

Sagel said moved her business from a downtown Post Road East location to 208 Post Road West mainly because her clients and employees could not find parking.
