Coffee An' Donut Shop may be famous for its donuts, but owner Elias Vlandis said that pancakes -- a recent addition to the menu -- are popular, too.
Blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes have become part of the Main Street eatery's breakfast offerings, in addition to mainstays like eggs, omelets, and of course the freshly baked donuts and muffins.
New to the lunch menu are gyros and souvlaki dishes. "Those have been going, too," Vlandis said.
Going back to the donuts, they're all bestsellers, Vlandis said. From chocolate glazed to to coconut twist, powdered to cinnamon twist, the donuts tend to draw quite a famous crowd.
Rob Reiner and Melissa Joan Hart are frequent customers, as was Paul Newman, Vlandis said.
Al Gore, George Bush, and Bill Clinton have also enjoyed a donut and the company of Vlandis' parents.
He and his father, George, took up the space about 20 years and it has since become a staple in Westport.
Coffee An' is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sunday 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
