Papadum co-owner Prakash Nath said Saugatuck’s recent economic expansion is what drew him to Westport.

“This area is growing and that is the reason we opened up here,” he said, adding he has noticed heavy growth in the Saugatuck area over the past two to three years.

Two tasty dishes that are featured at Papadum are ‘Tandoori Quail’ (quails marinated in spices and yogurt) and ‘Addu Sulley’ (grilled tender herbed and spiced strips of lamb).

“No other Indian restaurant has this kind of view around here,” Nath said of the restaurant that sits directly above the Saugatuck River.
