We are excited to share with you the launch of The Refinery, an early stage accelerator program designed to assist innovative women-led ventures in becoming scaleable and investible businesses. Awards will be given to the top performing companies. Please help us to promote in your community.
The Refinery engages local intellectual and financial capital to participate in the growth of new businesses, while leveraging community resources including The Westport Library, and other sponsors such as The Stamford Innovation Center, and The Westport Sunrise Rotary.
The Fall program will allow 10 companies to participate in a 12-week program. To qualify, companies should have at least one woman in a leadership role (either by management, funding or product/service focus). Applicants should have launched or be ready to launch a product or digital service by end of 2014. Companies should have the potential to grow to more than $10 million in revenues, be focused on creating an exit potential in four-to-six years and be capital efficient.

Applications can be submitted on www.refineryct.com and are due by Sunday, June 15, 2014. The accelerator will culminate in a pitch night where teams will present their companies to the community, pitch to potential investors for funding and compete for cash awards.
