GOV. MALLOY: SOUTH NORWALK'S SILVER CREATIVE GROUP RECEIVES GRANT FOR JOB CREATION

Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced over $225,000 in grants and loans to be distributed to the South Norwalk based branding and marketing agency, Silver Creative Group. The stimulus, funded by the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), will help the agency expand operations and hire up to 50% more employees.

Silver Creative Group, has built a successful reputation for creating new brands, developing and programming web sites, designing consumer product packaging, and for launching fully integrated online and offline marketing campaigns for a wide range of clients in Connecticut and across the mid Atlantic region. Clients include Connecticut local businesses such as The UConn School of Business, Heavenly Bites, and Torie & Howard Organic Candy as well as many of the leading real estate developers in New York City.

The company, co-founded by the husband and wife team of Creative Director Donna Bonato and Managing Director Paul Zullo, is celebrating ten years in business. As Norwalk residents, Donna and Paul are proud to represent an excellent example of local employers that help other firms in Connecticut to grow their markets, customers, and revenue.

“Small businesses represent over 90% of Connecticut employers,” said Governor Malloy. “Supporting our small businesses will grow jobs, accelerate the economy and attract skilled workers to Connecticut.”

“This funding will help us gain a lot more visibility,” said Paul Zullo. “Both to potential clients and the creative talent that lives in Connecticut and would prefer to work closer to home. With more than 1,700 marketing and advertising companies in the state, Connecticut’s creative identity is expanding, and we are proud to play a leading role in that growth.”

“Connecticut needs to invest in the creative corridor that stretches from Hartford to Stamford,” added Donna Bonato. “Grants and funding to these businesses are necessary to help bring greater exposure to Connecticut’s wealth of creative talent.
