NUSBAUM & PARRINO ATTORNEY NELSON SELECTED ‘NEW LEADER IN THE LAW’

WESTPORT, Conn., Dec. 3, 2013 --  Randi R. Nelson, an associate attorney at Nusbaum & Parrino PC, was recently selected as one of the Connecticut Law Tribune’s “New Leaders in the Law” 2013.  Nearly 300 of the best and brightest attorneys under the age of 40 were nominated by their firms or colleagues within the Connecticut bar, and from the pool of applicants the Connecticut Law Tribune identified 60 attorneys who stand out as a new leader in the Connecticut profession.

The Connecticut Law Tribune selected these lawyers for their achievements in legal work, pro bono efforts and community involvement.  The selection pool included partners and associates in large firms; mid-sized firm managers and solo attorneys; litigators, legal aid lawyers and public defenders; corporate counsel and public interest advocates.  Some excelled in the courtroom, others in law firm leadership, and still others were notable for their published articles, bar association contributions and pro bono work.

As part of their selection, Attorney Nelson and the other New Leaders in the Law were included in a 2013 yearbook published by the Law Tribune Nov. 4, 2013.  These designees and their guests were also invited to a New Leaders in the Law awards dinner held Thursday, Nov. 7, at The Bond Ballroom in downtown Hartford where they received a plaque and heard a speech from Connecticut Deputy Attorney General Nora R. Dannehy.

Attorney Nelson joined the family law practice of Nusbaum & Parrino as an associate attorney in April 2013.  Attorney Nelson is admitted to practice in Connecticut, and is a member of the American, Connecticut and Fairfield County bar associations.  She is an appointed member of the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association Family Law Section.
