The Westport Weston Cooperative Nursery School will move forward as planned with its 5th annual Tag Sale fundraiser which typically benefits the not-for-profit school and its programs. This year, the school’s community has decided this year to donate 100% of its profits to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Pat Rackliffe, the director of the WWCNS stated, “The date of the Tag Sale had been chosen long ago, however the timing of the event coinciding with this real catastrophe resulting from Hurricane Sandy. We the Co-op community felt it was important to donate all of the profits of the Tag Sale to the victims of storm.”
The Co-op has a history of giving back to the community through various drives such as coat, food, and school supplies as well as adopting families in need during holiday time by fulfilling their “wish lists”.
