Blotter: Drunken Driving Suspect Acts 'Belligerently'

The following arrest information was provided by the Westport Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

A suspected drunken driver reportedly acted belligerently when arrested on March 31 for hitting a car and driving away. According to the report, Jill Porter, 51, of Norwalk Ave., was seen driving away from the scene of the accident in the area of Saugatuck Avenue and Charles Street.

Police said Porter appeared drunk and she refused to take sobriety tests. She was arrested, and police said she was “belligerent and abusive” to the officers. She refused to take breath tests or be fingerprinted. Police then found there was a protective order on Porter that restricted her from consuming alcohol.

Porter was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, evading responsibility, breach of peace, failure to submit to fingerprinting and criminal violation of a protective order. Her bail was set at $2,000 and she is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on April 11.

John Buonomo, 22, of Plymouth, was arrested on March 28 at 6:30 p.m. on a charge of second-degree failure to appear. He was the passenger of a car that was pulled over his original charges were motor vehicle violations in Ansonia. His bail was set at $750 and he’s scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Derby on April 7.

Rosette Molnar, 32, of Bridgeport, was arrested on March 30 at 5:40 p.m. on a charge of second-degree failure to appear. Molnar was pulled over for not having a front license plate, and a computer check revealed she was wanted for failing to appear in court on unspecified charges. Her bail was set at $10,000 and she’s schedule to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on April 11.

Timothy Bagley, 45, of Shelton, was arrested on April 1 at 8:30 a.m. on charges of second-degree forgery, obtaining drugs with a forged prescription, obtaining drugs with a false name and criminal impersonation. According to the report, Bagley turned himself in on a warrant. He was wanted for allegedly obtaining drugs from CVS on December 2010 using a false name and forged prescription. Bagley’s bail was set at $20,000 and he is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on April 11.
