The Bridge Street bridge repairs will be rescheduled for next week.

The Town of , will be closed for part of Thursday and Friday for repair work.
The swing bridge will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., said First Selectman Gordon Joseloff.
He said the contractor, Cianbro Construction Co., will be making repairs to the mechanical and electrical components of the bridge after it was damaged during Hurricane Sandy.
Signs and markings for detour routes will be posted, Joseloff said.
The bridge closure, which usually causes a major traffic jam on Jessup Road and on the Route 1 bridge, will be an ongoing occurrence in Westport until the repairs have been completed in April.
