A friend of mine, a senior citizen, who could not get to his home during the storm, was taken to the motel on Rt 7 by a concerned police officer where he and his wife spent the night in the lobby. TRUMBULL: "Since when is it a town's decision for Halloween to be celebrated or not? It is not an official holiday. People have the right to trick or treat at their own discretion if their neighborhoods are safe. Overprotectiveness is ruining all the fun we once enjoyed as kids. I would hate to be a kid today.
