Long Lots Bus in Minor Accident
No injuries reported in the Sturges Commons accident.
A Long Lots Elementary bus was in a minor accident on Sturges Commons this morning.
"First, let me assure you that the children on Bus 22 are safe! The mirror of their bus scraped the mirror of a passing truck, though, and the bus has been delayed getting to school," said Principal Rex Jones in an e-mail to parents.
He added, "Another bus has been dispatched from Dattco(the transportation company) to bring the children in. Sandy Evangelista, cirector of gransportation is there with the bus. I just wanted to let you know that everything is fine and the children will be a little late to school. There were NO injuries."

Last fall, a Westport bus was in a serious accident on the Weston/Westport border. Several children suffered bumps and bruises and the driver was hospitalized.
