Nightime I-95 Lane Closures: Norwalk Thru AM Saturday

Drivers on Interstate 95 can expect lane closures in northbound and southbound lanes between Exit 13 and Exit 16 in Norwalk from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. as a bridge is repaired, according to this news release from the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

 

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 north and southbound in Norwalk beginning the night of Tuesday, Nov. 13.

The project consists of joint and crack sealing on the I-95 Bridge over Crescent Street and Metro North Railroad [just to the west of the bridge over Norwalk River] in Norwalk.  Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 North and Southbound between Exit 13 (Route 1) and Exit 16 (East Avenue).  This project is scheduled to continue through the morning of Saturday, Nov. 17.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Tuesday to Friday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
