Parker Harding Road Reconstruction Scheduled Next Week
Westport's Department of Public Works announced today that the reconstruction of Parker Harding Road in the area adjoining the Saugtuck River in Westport's center will begin Monday with the removal of curbing along the roadway.
The work, part of the town’s annual paving project, will continued through the rest of the week and a portion of the following week. Parker Harding Road will be entirely reconstructed from the Main Street intersection to its intersection with Post Road East .
During this construction period, traffic will access the Parker Harding parking lot from either the Post Road East entrance or the Main Street entrance depending upon the progress of the operation.
Signage will indicate which entrance to use and detour signs will direct traffic through the parking lot.
