Three-car Accident With Injuries on the Merritt

The Westport Fire Department responded to a car accident with injuries Thursday afternoon on the Merritt Parkway northbound between exit 41 and 42. 

Three cars were involved and Westport EMS treated the injuries and transported one person to the hospital, according to a news release.

All three cars had to be towed from the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Connecticut State Police, according to the release.
