UPDATE: Trees, Wires Down, Blocking Roads - Westporters Without Power

The number has increased to 135 Westport homes that are currently without power at of 9:10 p.m., according to Connecticut Light and Power.

There are currently several road closures in Westort, according to Westport Fire Department.

All utilities are down and the road is blocked at the intersection of Catamount and Easton roads. 

A tree is down on power lines and is blocking the road near 17 Crooked Mile Road, according to emergency dispatch.

Furthermore, a tree on Florian Connection fell to the ground and took out several utility wires after being struck by lightning. The power is out in that area. 

Of the 12,365 Connecticut Light and Power customers in Westport, 135 customers are without power, which represents one percent of their customers in town.

There are 556 CL&P customers without power in Weston while there are 1183 customers in the dark in Norwalk. 725 customers are without power in Wilton.
