Veterans Day Ceremonies at Westport Town Hall

Organizations participating in the ceremonies will include the Westport Community Band, and the Westport Police Department Honor Guard.

 

Veterans Day ceremonies will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Town Hall auditorium, according to Westport Veterans Council President William Vornkahl.

“A special patriotic concert by the Westport Community Band, conducted by Susan Schaefer, will start at 1:30 p.m.,” said Vornkahl.

“Veterans Day is a time to recognize and thank the men and women of our armed forces,” said First Selectman Gordon Joseloff.  “I invite all residents to join me in honoring our veterans.” 

Organizations participating in the ceremonies will be the Westport Community Band, the Westport Police Department Honor Guard, members of the Joseph J. Clinton Post 399 Veterans of Foreign Wars, representatives of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 399, and members of the August Mathias Post 63 American Legion.
