Westport Bus Driver Charged in Accident
The November accident caused minor injuries to some children.
The driver of a Westport school bus that has been arrested and charged with 24 counts of reckless endangerment and failure to maintain in the proper lane.
In November, the bus crashed on the corner of North Avenue and Lyons Plain Road in Westport. The driver, James Torti, 46, of Bridgeport, was hospitalized and some Coleytown Elementary School students suffered minor injuries.
Torti turned himself in at Weston Police Headquarters on March 1. His bond was set at $20,000.
