Westport Downtown 2020 Committee Seeks Participation, Comment at Public Meeting

The Downtown 2020 Committee was formed to develop a plan to revitalize the downtown area, and to integrate the projects in the planning stage.

 

Downtown 2020 Committee Chair Louis Gagliano announced that a public meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Auditorium to update the community on the committee’s progress and to seek public participation and comment.

“The committee wants to hear community ideas and thoughts for improving the downtown area,” said Gagliano.

“In particular, we are interested in what other service offerings community members would like to see, their observations and thoughts about the recent flooding that has occurred,” he said.  “In addition, the committee would like to hear concerns about development projects and other changes that are likely to occur over the next several years.”

The Downtown 2020 Committee was formed by First Selectman Gordon F. Joseloff in March 2012 for the purpose of developing a plan to revitalize the downtown area, and to integrate the projects in the planning stage.
