Westport Memorial Services, Parade Set for Monday

In the event the parade is canceled, services will be held in the Westport Town Hall auditorium starting at 10 a.m.

 

Westport Veterans Council President William Vornkahl and Parks &
Recreation Director Stuart McCarthy announced today that the Memorial Day parade and ceremonies will be held on Monday, May 28.

The parade starts promptly at 9 a.m. from Riverside Avenue and will end
in Parker-Harding Plaza.  Memorial Services will follow immediately on Veterans Green.

Attached are the program for the 2012 Memorial Day services and the Line
of March for the parade.

If the parade is canceled due to extreme weather conditions, call the
Parks & Recreation cancellation line at 203-341-5074; or at the website: www.westportrecreation.com   Announcements will also be made on WICC600AM.

In the event the parade is canceled, services will be held in the  auditorium starting at 10 a.m.
