Westport Police Arrest Bridgeport Woman for DUI

Once stopped, the officer could smell alcohol on her breath and noticed she had red, glassy eyes, according to the arrest report.

A Westport police officer witnessed a vehicle on Treadwell Avenue cross the double yellow line several times before he initiated a traffic stop at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

The driver failed the field sobriety test and was taken into custody. She submitted to a breath test with the following results: 0.147 and 0.150, police said.  
Westport police charged 52-year-old Lynn Cammarota, of Bridgeport, with operating under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive in proper lane, police said.
Cammarota was released on a $250 cash bond. She is due in State Superior Court in Norwalk April 22.
