Westport Restaurants Tops in Connecticut

Bobby Q's, Tengda, Oaxaca Kitchen, Rizzuto's and the Whelk are among the top-rated restaurants for 2013 by Connecticut Magazine.

The votes are in and it's not too surprising that five Westport restaurants received top-five rankings in their respective categories.

According to the 2013 Best Restaurants rankings by Connecticut Magazine, Bobby Q's Barbecue and Grill on Main Street in downtown Westport earned a top nod for barbecue in Connecticut. The Whelk, located on the water on Riverside Avenue, was named one of the top five new restaurants, along with a designation for best seafood. The Whelk also received honorable mentions for best overall restaurant and best desserts.

Rizzuto's, in the Saugatuck section of town across from Bridge Square, was recognized in the top five for family restaurants and Oaxaca Kitchen on Post Road East was rated among the best Mexican / Latin restaurants by the magazine's critics. Tengda Asain Bistro received a top-five ranking for best Asian.
