Westport Woman’s Club Holiday Meals Program a Success

A letter to the editor from the Westport Woman's Club.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Holiday meals program a success, delivering meals to homebound Westport residents on Christmas and New Years Day.   The program funded and coordinated by the WWC would not have been possible without the contributions and support we received from the Town of Westport, Wild Pear, Sherwood Diner, and the extended Klinge family.

In the midst of planning and preparing for catered parties, Dave from Wild Pear took the time and the effort to plan meals for Westport residents that were homebound; Dave said “This is what the holiday season is all about.”   Dimitri from Sherwood Diner echoed the same sentiments when he said “We are glad to help the Westport Woman’s Club deliver meals to people who can not go out.”   The Klinge family and friends took time out from their family gatherings to deliver the meals.

The generosity of the community is deeply appreciated; we are very grateful for your commitment and partnership.
