Westport Woman’s Club Thanksgiving Meals Program a Success
A letter to the editor from the Westport Woman's Club.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2011 Westport Woman’s Club Thanksgiving Meals Program a success, delivering meals to homebound Westport residents on Thanksgiving. The program funded and coordinated by the WWC would not have been possible without the contributions and support we received from the Town of Westport, In Good Taste Catering (Southport), and the extended Klinge family, Stop and Shop (Westport) and Tiger Bowl (Westport).
The Human Services Department of the Town of Westport identified residents who did not have a place to go for Thanksgiving Dinner. In Good Taste took time out during the busy Thanksgiving season to plan and prepare meals. Stop and Shop and Tiger Bowl supplied serving containers for meals. Jean and Jack Klinge, their family and friends delivered the meals. A true community effort!
The generosity of the community is deeply appreciated; we are very grateful for your commitment and partnership.
