Winter Storm Warning in Effect

8 to 12 inches are possible

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Westport.

The service predicts a "swath of heavy snowfall" and high winds could hit southern Fairfield County from noon Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday.

Snowfall accumulations of between 8 and 12 inches are possible, according to the weather service.
