Letter: Marpe and Kaner the Right Choice

Jim Marpe and Avi Kaner are exceptional candidates for Westport Selectmen.    I previously served with Jim Marpe on the Board of Education for 4 years, where we worked as a team to develop policies and set direction for our schools.   This role required Jim to fully understand the needs of our educators, community members, and town funding bodies.  Jim worked tireless hours but also volunteered for extra projects sponsoring community events, working with the Board of Finance and helping with Union negotiations.    

Jim is a successful business man, who has the leadership skills to drive financial stability for our town as a first priority.  With his skills and experience level, Jim is well equipped to create strong working relationships with our Superintendent , the RTM,  the Board of Finance and our community members.  I am confident Jim Marpe is the right person for the role of Selectman to help Westport move forward into the future successfully.    Vote for Jim Marpe and Avi Kaner on November 5.
