The Westport/Weston Chamber
of Commerce will host a public open forum with State Representatives Gail
Lavielle (R) and Jonathan Steinberg (D).
The community is invited to gather to interact with the representatives
and find out more about how Westport is being represented in Hartford.
Participants are encouraged to bring questions, concerns, thoughts and ideas to
this question and answer session. Rep. Gail Lavielle (R) represents the 143rd
Assembly District, which includes areas in Westport.
She is a ranking member of the General Assembly’s Commerce Committee and sits on the Appropriations, Education, Higher Education, and Higher Education Consolidation Committees – Rep. Lavielle is also a member of the Manufacturing Caucus and the Long Island Sound Caucus.Rep. Jonathan Steinberg (D) represents the 136th Assembly District, which includes most of Westport. He is the Vice Chair of the Energy & Technology Committee, and a member of the Finance, Revenue & Bonding Committee, the Transportation Committee and the Aging Committee.
