Westport-based Sherpa Fitness has announced the grand opening of its new Training Center, Indoor Cycling Studio, and Recovery Lounge. All are invited at 6pm on January 18th to 1555 Post Road East, directly across from the ASF Sports & Outdoors building in Westport. Live demonstrations will feature the new dynamic compression recovery system from Normatec and the virtual reality cycling studio.
Created by Jean Desrosiers, former Category 1 cyclist and founding partner of TargeTraining, Sherpa is a company that helps clients achieve "boundary moving" fitness goals. Just as the name suggests, Sherpa leads clients with an educated team, a thoughtful and collaborative approach, and now, a new facility with the latest technology.
The new facility includes a 2,000 square foot center for personal training, and a 1,000 square foot indoor Computrainer cycling studio with bicycle valet, and coached workouts. The latest training equipment, and the most innovative recovery technology will be on display, with members of the staff on hand to answer questions and encourage "test rides," and "test recovery."
The new Recovery Lounge is the first of its kind in Fairfield County. Come to the grand opening to experience the effects of leg and arm dynamic compression, and learn how this technology is used by the pros. The Sherpa Recovery Lounge uses Sequential Pulse Technology by Normatec™. This system delivers a patented compression waveform and directionality of flow, leaving tired muscles refreshed and rejuvenated. Dynamic compression is the most effective (forget ice baths) way to flush out the effects of hard training, and is especially useful for runners and cyclists. Previously only available to pro cycling teams and elite runners, this technology is now available to Sherpa Recovery members at any time of the day.
Join Sherpa for an evening of complimentary food, beer and wine, and a presentation of the latest training and recovery techniques.
