The Westport Historical Society presents the 26th Annual Holiday House Tour and Twilight Soiree

Westport’s famous artists of the 20th century moved here from all over the US, and a number of them still live and work here. This year, both to salute Westport’s place in American art and to complement our current exhibit, US Postage Stamps by Westport Artists (164 stamps by 17 artists), the Westport Historical Society’s 26th Annual Holiday House Tour visits the fascinating homes of 5 Westport artists.  What sets them apart, other than festive seasonal decor, studios with requisite north-facing light and proximity to watercourses, is extraordinary personal collections: some of it, their own art; some by colleagues or neighbors; some by their heroes, and some, not art at all.  A rare treat, not to be missed! The Holiday House Tour will be followed by our exciting Soiree with live music, hors d’oeuvres, wine tasting and a silent auction at another fabulous private home.
